A boat ride

The Amalfi Coast viewed from the sea has a completely different charm, revealing hidden nooks and charming coves that you simply can’t see from land. That’s why one of the most popular activities is taking a boat tour to discover the beautiful bay of Erchie, the Cavallo Morto beach in Maiori, the stunning Furore Fjord, the lovely Santa Croce beach in Amalfi, and the vibrant Marina Grande in Positano. And why not make it even more special with a delightful traditional aperitif on board?

Or you could set sail for one of the renowned restaurants in Nerano, where you can savor the specialties that are famous around the world. Just keep in mind that boat excursions are subject to weather conditions, so it’s best to plan them at least a week in advance.

From Pompeii to Amalfi, Ravello to Positano, Ischia and Capri; and let’s not forget Salerno, Paestum, and the Cilento, perfect for indulging in culinary tours. Join him in exploring the finest wines from the region, all while enjoying the breathtaking views from the large terrace overlooking the sea. With the help of a professional sommelier, Alfonso will guide you in discovering the best Italian wines, carefully selected from a wide array or even sourced specifically to match your desires.

And if you’re eager to unveil the secrets of this extraordinary region’s cuisine, you can request a Chef in Villa. You’ll have the chance to roll up your sleeves and create traditional dishes together, or you can simply relax and savor the delightful meals prepared especially for you.

Pino Daniele, the beloved Neapolitan singer-songwriter, wrote a beautiful song about pizza… and do you really want to miss the chance to watch a true Neapolitan pizzaiolo at work, crafting and baking traditional pizzas in the oven at Carrubo?

Or how about trying your hand at “the art of pizza making” alongside him, and see if you can become o’ guaglion’ ro’ pizzaiuol! As the sun sets and the blue of the sea blends with the blue of the sky, you’ll hear the crackling of the wood in the oven, and savor the delightful aromas of fresh ingredients melting into the pizzas you’ll enjoy, warm and inviting, on the terrace amidst laughter and toasts.

Sunrise Yoga by the Sea

There is a moment, just after dawn, when the Gulf of Salerno is still and the light turns the water to silver. It is our favourite hour at Villa il Carrubo, and the perfect time to roll out a mat on the terrace, with nothing between you and the sea but the morning air.

Guided by a certified instructor, a private session can be arranged on the terrace or down by the private beach, tailored to your level, whether you practise every day or are unrolling a mat for the very first time.

Wellness at Villa

Holidays should leave you lighter than you arrived. That is why we can bring the spa to you: professional therapists come to the Villa and set up wherever you feel most at ease, on the shaded terrace, in the garden, or in the privacy of your own room.

Choose a deep massage after a day on the water, a relaxing treatment before dinner, or a longer ritual for two as the afternoon slips away. All you have to do is close your eyes and listen to the sea below.

Sunset Wine & Dinner

As the sun goes down behind the coast, the terrace becomes the best table in the house. The lamps come on, the glasses are filled, and the sea turns from blue to gold while dinner is served under an open sky.

We can arrange a private dinner on the terrace, from a long table with family and friends to an intimate table for two, paired with wines chosen from Alfonso’s cellar and dishes built around the season and around what you love to eat.
